HGC 2022 Sale

of Annual Plants

Asian Jumping Worms - wreaking havoc in UV gardens

It's Spring! We are all looking forward to working in our gardens - hands in the soil. But, the earthworms you may be seeing in increasing numbers are not the earthworms of years past. They are the invasive Asian Jumping Worm. (Amynthas spp.) Invasive!

Unlike our beneficial earthworms, this species does not improve the soil, or its'
drainage, or add nutrients. They are also known as 'snake worms'.  They have the potential to dramatically change our soil structure, impact our forests, and reduce biodiversity.   Read more.

Starts Monday, April 25, 2022
Our sale of annual plants is a once-a-year event.  Choose from 4-pacs, 4-6" hanging baskets, geraniums, and more, many of which are grown by Garden Club members in our own greenhouse.

As of Monday, May 2 we have more tomatoes available!
